The "Plantation Old Reserve" was produced in Jamaica at the Long Pond distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Maison Ferrand. It was distilled in 1983 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 28 years. The rum has an ABV of 42%. This bottle got expensive very fast and no wonder why. A great one from Plantation with a wonderful nose and beautiful well balanced and complex palate. If you find a bottle remember to rest the sipper for at least 10 minutes before giving it a go. It needs some time to release the full potential. A masterpiece hard to get your hands on.
