Dos Maderas Luxus Double Crianza

One of my first more expensive rums. I love the look of the bottle. It's worth buying for that alone. In my opinion, the rum itself is aimed more at beginners. I still think it's okay, but there are of course much more complex rums for the price.

DOS maderas with light coffee tones. Lots of vanilla and fruit, then dark tones of roasted malt, nuts and coffee on the finish. The rum is clean and harmonious. I recommend trying it here

Very soft, sweet and round.

I næsen mørke frugter og fad. Samme i munden som i næsen. Meget behagelig og rund. Den Birkerød til at død ud, men kommer et lille prik i afslutningen.

On the nose, the first thing you notice is a woody vanilla-sugarcoffee scent. The aroma also reminds me strongly of Madeira wine. However, this port note is not confirmed on the palate. Here I taste nut, vanilla, oak and a little sherry. A good and complex sweet rum.

Nez caramel, vanillé et sucré, très gourmand en fait. Bouche très ronde, limite de sentir le glycérol… avec une touche alcoolisée qui lui donne de la chaleur. Finale chaleureuse Tortue sur la bouteille parce qu’ils donneraient 7 à 10% pour la protection des œufs de tortues dans les Caraïbes.

A good sweetened solera rum! It’s more on the nutty side bit a good sipper. pleasant to drink. Today I'm probably luckier with the rums than yesterday :) I also like this one very much, a very smooth, very mellow rum with a light vanilla and nutty flavor. The finish is also very fine.

This is a step up from the 5+5 and in a good way. More complexity and a wonderful nose after resting for 15 minutes. There is something tropical about this nice rum. The nose sets off with vanilla and caramel followed by barrel and some orange. The palate is nicely balanced between the proof and spices/oak/barrel. Almond, chocolate and molasses follow and sweet, spice and sherry tops it off. The finish is medium long, warm and some spices.

Very salty, otherwise average. I had expected more for the price, but you have to drink with your eyes... Great design, decent rum, but clearly too expensive.

Své vynikající chuti dosahuje díky 10 letému zrání v sudech v karibské oblasti. Poté rum zraje u Williams & Humbert ve městě Jerez de la Frontera. Zde zraje minimálně dalších pět let v sudech z amerického bílého dubu, ve kterých původně zrálo dvacetileté Sherry Don Guido. Výsledkem je sametová a poměrně viskózní, plná a hladká chuť s velmi dlouhým závěrem s tóny koření, ořechů a medu.

Old school and resonable good, but still way too sweet. If you like sweet rums this might be your thing, but for me I’m looking for the next. - Now 3 years since last tasting above and holy moly this is sweet as fuck.
