Short trip Reunion September 2024. Rhum Blanc Traditionnel from Isautier. Also quite acceptable. Fruity and fresh on the nose. On the palate too, with citrus fruits added. However, it is very alcoholic and probably intended more for mixing.
Got a sample of this traditional Reunion rum made from molasses (so it’s not an Agricole) for free from RhumAttitude. The nose is weak, floral and vegetal with aromas of fruit. At the palate and during the rather long finish it’s metallic, fruity and fatty with flavors of olive, pepper and salt. Overall an OK French styled molasses Blanc.
