How does this rum taste?
Kiyomi White Rum, crafted at Japan’s Helios distillery, offers a unique profile that intrigues rum enthusiasts. Distilled from molasses using a pot still and left unaged, it exudes a floral and fruity aroma dominated by litchi. The taste is a blend of sugarcane, vegetal notes, and a hint reminiscent of sake, creating a refreshing yet straightforward palate. Many users appreciate its easy-drinking nature and floral notes, although some find it reminiscent of sake and less complex compared to traditional rums. Ideal for those seeking a distinctively Japanese rum experience, it fares well in simple cocktails. This rum is highlighted for its aromatic qualities but may not be ideal for those expecting classic rum dynamics.

Finish Medium long, oily, round, light olive, light salt, medium dry, herbs, light grass, faint mint. The empty glass has mint, cinnamon, light iodine and faint melon.
rather reminds of sake... not mine. Backhouse unpleasantly alcoholic and sour like cheap rice wine ...
Even on a blind tasting, we're looking at an acqueous floral saké profile.
