How does this rum taste?
Fresh sugarcane, bright vanilla, and a line of floral aromas open Manutea's Très Vieux Rhum Agricole VSOP, giving way to woody and aniseed notes on the palate. Tasters appreciate its easy-drinking, pastry-like roundness and approachable profile. Worth exploring if you’re drawn to smooth, expressive agricole rums from rare origins.

I really don’t feel like there’s much going on here. It’s very straightforward with more woody and spice notes. It has a nice floral smell which is fairly round but the taste fell flat for me. Maybe I’m just spoiled with tasting cask strength stuff.
Super sympa ! Clairement un rhum pour les amateurs, ou les débutants, on a de la vanille, de la canne, de l’anis. Le nez est super vanille, la bouche plutôt sur l’anis. La finale est un peu courte mais bon, c’est super gourmand et facile à boire.
It’s just ok. It’s not bad, just not a lot going on. Leans towards the aged wood characteristics but the spirit itself seems pretty simple.
