It was distilled in 1998 from Molasses with a Column Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. Vorweg: Wir sind keine Freunde fürs Leben geworden: Ganz angenehme Frische mit Aprikosen und einer leichten Süsse in der Nase. Geschmacklich rund, ohne Fehlnoten, mittelmäßig eingebundener Alkohol. Dazu eine sehr präsente torfige Note die auch den Abgang bestimmt. Handwerklich sicher ordentlich, für Cuba sicher nicht schlecht, hat aber nicht mein Herz getroffen, ein Sample reicht vollends…
