13.03.2016 Nice relaxing day in the basement with nice food. Notes Light to medium dark colour. Nose Fresh, wood, light roasted, dried fruit, citrus, faint chocolate. Palate Wood, light smoke, dried fruit, toffee, light medicinal, plum. Finish Medium long, wood, roasted, light medicinal, light plum, faint chocolate.
One of the Uitvlugt/Demerara profiles that doesn't fully pick me up. Fruity, slightly milky, spicy - the impact from the barrel aging of the tropically aged Demeraras is completely missing here. Not a bad rum, but real enthusiasm he does not spark with me. However, this may very well be subjective.
