How does this rum taste?
The Rhum Rare Jamaica & Barbados Port Cask Finish is a unique blend of Jamaican and Barbadian rums with a high alcohol content of 65%. This limited-edition rum, crafted from molasses and distilled in pot stills, offers complex aromas and flavors dominated by banana, vanilla, pineapple, and caramel, complemented by a noticeable buttery note. Reviewers appreciate its well-integrated alcohol and the harmonious interplay between Jamaican funk and Barbadian sweetness. Although some find it lacks a certain complexity, it is celebrated for its long, flavorful finish that balances fruity and solvent notes with a smooth, caramel undertone. Perfect for enthusiasts seeking a distinctive taste experience.

Another great blend of very different rums in which each tries to keep its place: the Barbados brings a sweetness and sweetness in which the Jamaican tries to make its way to take it all away. Good news: it doesn't work. The Barbados sweetness is a little too present for my taste. I'd have liked to give the Jamaican a little more room. But it's really very good. Edit: the alcohol is still very present. You can smell the 65°.
A good blend that crosses very well Jamaica and Barbados. A good quality rum that lacks a little bit of madness but the whole is pleasant.
It's good! 🤤
A lovely blend of Barbados and Jamaica. The two terroirs harmonize on the nose, one bringing an opulent sweetness and indulgence (caramel, crème brûlée, cinnamon, coconut, spicy wood) while the other brings its funkiness and aroma (butter, esters, solvents, exotic fruits). On the palate, the alchemy is still at work, with exotic fruits and a buttery, gourmet framework on which caramel, vanilla and milk chocolate rest. The solvents are still reminiscent of Jamaica, while the spicy woodiness proclaims its belonging to Barbabde. The alcohol is very well integrated. The finish is long, buttery and fruity, with a hint of crème brûlée and smoky notes. A round, gourmet blend that just begs to be drunk more.
