"14.09.2019 Super Kill Devil tasting at a local shop, that unfortunately is no more. Notes Light in colour. Nose Intense, light wood, roasted, glue, plum, dried fruit, light citrus. Palate Intense, warm, citrus, dried fruit, light glue, spice, light licorice, faint caramel, medium dry. Finish Long and warm, wood, light licorice, light caramel, roasted, medium dry, light vegetal."
"It’s a fairly full on brash rum. Versailles pot still rum, a bit rougher than the 12 year old age statement would suggest. Nose is ethanol and glue scented, with second layer of tropical fruit. Mouth is rough and woody with green pepper notes - palate is not to my tastes a bit too much paint stripper and not enough complexity. Finish is medium long with a hint of burn and alcoholic ester note. Overall it’s one to get out for those who like something with a bit of edge but just doesn’t do it for me"
