"Pleasant, fairly sweet rum with a strong molasses and citrus aroma. For a rum made to please novices, it is produced with skill and commitment. It is a distillate that can be useful as a stepping stone to more complex rums."
"7,8:The nose is carried by a certain sweetness that develops well-known aromas of caramel, vanilla and sweet spices, orange peel . But it doesn't stop there, as it soon intrigues with a slightly smoky, oily facet and with gingerbread biscuits. With aeration, this mild smoky touch takes on just the right amount of fullness, forming a very pleasant balance with rounder notes. This brings to mind toasted wood, coconut, dried fruits, clove, cigar and even leather. 7,8:The palate is quite complex, yet soft and rounded. It immediately envelops the palate with its sweet, suave touch, then spreads out a very tender oak cask, filled with vanilla and mild spices, some herbal touch. A few toasty notes are picked up, with cocoa powder, in a rum honey studded with sweet spices, like cinammon and some red fruits-cherry, prunes, bourbony peaches, citrus, almond, even coffee. 7,5:The finish is delicious, medium with a lightly salted caramel and roasted palate with a wisp of drieness.."
"This is a very light yet delicate rum tha I'd classify as a good rum for starters. If you like Botran this one is a must try because it lines up pretty well with the Botran line of rums. With a bit more proof i think this one would have been a winner, but still a very good rum at the price tag. "
