How does this rum taste?
Most enjoy its smooth, sweet vanilla-caramel and citrus profile and easy drinking. Critics find it too sugary and short. Consensus: a solid, well-made starter for sweet Spanish-style rum.
If you like soft, caramel-driven Guatemalan or Latin rums, this lines up nicely—just a bit fresher with orange and floral notes, but still very easygoing at 40%.
Drinkers avoiding added sweetness or seeking high-ester funk, high ABV intensity or deep complexity; dry-rum fans may find it cloying and standard.

Pleasant, fairly sweet rum with a strong molasses and citrus aroma. For a rum made to please novices, it is produced with skill and commitment. It is a distillate that can be useful as a stepping stone to more complex rums.
Slightly earthy nose towards the end, sweet yet hints of spicy notes on the palate. Pleasant, making me want to go in for second and thirds
