How does this rum taste?
Most enjoy its smooth vanilla-caramel profile and fair price. Critics find it too simple, a bit short and slightly sharp. Consensus: a solid, accessible Spanish-style starter rum.
If you like soft, bourbon-adjacent or Diplomático-style sweetness, this will feel familiar: relaxed 40% ABV, vanilla-caramel focus, and a fair price, but without much depth or funk.
Enthusiasts seeking high complexity, high ABV power or funky profiles, and drinkers who dislike sweeter, polished Solera-style rums.

A very nice and totally balanced solera rum that, unlike its competitors in the solera sector, has been sweetened only slightly to not at all. Santa Teresa thus shows how good a natural solera rum can taste. For me, one of the best Soleras, especially for the price. From the smell an insanely interesting rum, which is super round and balanced in the taste, but not quite as diverse there. Still, the taste is very balanced with facets of caramel and vanilla. It remains a pleasantly warm finish.
A staple rum. Doesn’t kick up a big fuss, but it’s a solid performer.
A slightly sweet, fruity smell, some vanilla and wood. Also in the taste is vanilla, honey and orange, sweet with some caramel and wood.
