I think this is a rum you either like or not. In my mind it's out of balance though you get the Madeira Cask in the profile.
I had expected more from the rum.
Spicy, slightly dry. Pleasant starter. Somewhat watery in the finish due to the 42%.
Phew, that's not enough for the price. It comes across rather flat on the nose, the alcohol is quite present and dominant. The impression is confirmed on the tongue, with woody, earthy influences and a little red fruit, solvent and sugar cane. A good starter due to the low drinking strength, but offers too little to keep you busy for longer
