How does this rum taste?
Honest, dry and spicy everyday agricole
If you like drier whiskies or light agricoles and want an affordable, honest aged option, this gives you real cane character and oak without sugar or overwhelming intensity.
Those wanting sweet, velvety rums, complete beginners wary of vegetal/agricole notes, or drinkers looking for deep complexity and zero bitterness.
I particularly like the unexpectedly long finish. For the money, you get a very complex agricole that has both the typical agricole aromas and barrel notes. For the price, I think it's a good deal, especially in the world of mixologists.

After resting this one for 15 plus minutes I have to say it came out pretty well. The nose is a clear Agricole with a fruity vegetal/earthy note, maybe even some wet hay. On top i get a floral and woody tingle. The palate is also an Agricole from the start. A spicy dry start going into orange zest and cocoa drizzled with marzipan. The finish is long and slightly bitter/dry, in a good way, with spices and citrus/lemon at the end.
Bought me this bottle on my way down to Spain. It’s aged for at least 3 years in oak casks. Overall a quite intense Agricole that’s quite demanding with flavors of fruits, spices and oak from the barrels.
An aged rum of very high quality for its age. The nose is full-bodied, with orange and dried fruit, swirling spices, mellow oak, toasted bread and hints of greenery. The palate is very spicy, with cloves, pepper and vanilla, with hints of cocoa on melted, lightly toasted oak. Fruitiness blends with agricultural bitterness for a very homogeneous, well-constructed whole. The long, round finish offers a fine balance of sweet spices, exotic fruit, citrus, sugarcane and hints of greenery. A tasty, aromatic little nugget, available at an unbeatable price.
