Odevie SAS Island Signature Yellow Snake
Most enjoy the fruity, light Jamaican profile and easy drinkability. Critics find it watery, underpowered and with a weak finish. Consensus: a decent, budget-friendly Jamaica starter, not a powerhouse.
Curious drinkers wanting a gentle, budget-friendly first step into Jamaican funk, or cocktail fans needing a light, fruity base that still tastes clearly of Jamaica.

#5813 29.09.2025 Day three of the Whisky Live 2025, which this year looks better organized/arranged inside. This is a sweet yet very light profile. Fresh and fruity with nice spices and light floral notes. Not really my type of rum.
For the price, a great offer In summary, my tasting notes: On the nose: Ester, Sweet, Tropical fruit, Green apple, Banana On the palate: Light, Mirabelle plum, Fruit brandy Finish: Sweet, Spicy, Mirabelle plum
Nose: Very fruity with slight hints of Jamaican funk. Palate: spicy, peppery. Finish: medium-long, warm and light. I like the nose better than the palate. I raised my original rating from 6.5 to 7.0 because it's not outstanding but it's typical of Jamaica.
It's not bad. It drinks well. It can help those who don't know Jamaicans to discover them. For my part, I find it too "light". It clearly lacks watts. The aromas aren't strong enough.
