"I was looking forward to taste this one as I had a chance to taste bacardi's 10 YO version and I must admit that it held up really nice with it's older brother. 8 YO is less sweet than 10 but sweet enough and it has very similar profile where you can sense the orange, nougat, vanilla, lot of spices and oak barrel in the taste. Very long finish which is great.When it comes to nose it is little sharp and alcoholic but it is not unpleasant. Very nice rum for a very nice price. Absolute must in collection."

"This rum is a good aged rum from bacardi with a little smoky/woody taste very pleasant. Alcohol taste is light and it can be easily drunk neat. Very good mixed with juice too. Considering the price, it really is a good deal."

"This is a good gateway rum. Easy sipper (neat) especially if you like bourbon whiskey. Bourbon association from nose to finish. Added sweetness makes it smooth. Leads you nicely onto the oak/barrel notes. Not overly sweet."
