"The first nose is agricultural, well wooded, rather incisive but pleasant, comparable to Dillon XO I think. Nice vanilla notes, it smells like quality rum without being a multitude of flavors. The first taste is quite original for an agricole, fresh, woody, then more cane-like. On the finish, you get the impression that it's young, but that's not a pejorative; it has the freshness of cane with less wood. The nose becomes increasingly pastry-like with aeration. I prefer it to some older, more expensive rums. The finish is correct, perhaps a little short."
