The fact is that Dictador has never used the solera system and buys in some of the light alcohols for its rums. The alcohol content may also not be correct, concealing a small amount of added sugar. Overall, not the best impression. Nevertheless, this rum is good. Not a trace of fruit, but a lot of roasted aromas plus nut, honey, coffee and chocolate, which I find very tasty. The rum is reasonably easy to drink, although it is a little rough and spicy on the finish. The bourbon barrel is definitely present."
