“Had a very nice Dictador tasting this Sunday and this is the first third of the six. This was a really nice surprise. A much netter rum than I expected, a nice complex rum with a hint of vanilla in the back. Very well balanced and a delight. Sweet but not too sweet unless you like dry or Agricole style rums. Price to quality is very good.”

“Dictador: a dishonest rum brand? An interview with Dictador's master blender (http://consulhonorariostuttgart.de/?q=de/destileria_colombiana) explains a lot. The fact is that Dictador has never used the solera system and partially buys the light alcohols for their rums. Also, the alcohol content may not be correct, disguising a small addition of sugar. Overall, not the best impression. This rum is nevertheless good. No trace of fruit, but a lot of roasted flavors plus nut, honey, coffee and chocolate, which I find very tasty. The rum is easy to drink, although it is a bit rough and spicy in the finish. So the bourbon barrel is definitely present.”

“The taste is incredibly soft and bold with sweet Columbian coffee, dark chocolate and lots of vanilla from the oak tree. The aftertaste is almost overwhelming, is nicely long and with a really good balance - I have to admit that this rum from Dictador appeals to me 👍”
