The Heavy Trinidad Rum HTR, crafted at Trinidad’s Caroni distillery, is a rare 21-year-old expression bottled by Velier. Distilled in 1996 from molasses, it offers a potent ABV of 64.3%. Available in only 119 bottles, this cask strength rum is revered for its complex vanilla, oak, and spice notes. Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: Wonderful complexity, sweetness, wood, spices, classic HTR notes - the 1996 vintage plays big here.
Very special Caroni with vegetal and floral notes. Very good nose, a little too special on the palate for my taste.
It's intense! Very complex, hard to pin down and delicious! A woody and fruity depth. Powerful and round . It's really excellent 🔥The rubber is still slightly present the next day when you wake up.
This is probably one of the best from Caroni. A very elegant and well balanced rum.
