How does this rum taste?
The Puerto Rican, distilled at Caliche Rum distillery in Puerto Rico, is a 5-year aged rum crafted from molasses using a column still. Its aroma mingles sugarcane, molasses, citrus, and oak, while the palate offers a blend of alcoholic intensity, subtle sweetness, and a dry, silky finish. Our RumX community notes its unique character—ideal for both sipping and mixing—even as some found its profile a tad straightforward. The rich history and distinctive bottle design add to its appeal, making it a conversation starter for enthusiasts seeking an authentic taste journey.

Though this would primarily be used as a mixer I think it does pretty well with a nice cigar. A rum in the cheaper end of the scale but not a bad one be it for sipping or mixing.
Tasting of Artur's Puerto Rico rums. A nose with some yellow fruit, neutral alcohol, better than No. 1. The palate shows the beginnings of amplitude, but the taste and strength of the alcohol are very present. The finish is very short and sweet. Overall better than #1 except for the rather marked sweetness.
Puerto rico Tasting: This is the latest version of Don Q white rum, which hast renamed like Appleton did with Kingston 62. This is marketed far better than the content deserved. There is a werid bitterness and metallic quality in the taste. Daiquiri: The bitterness really vrings this Daiquiri down. 2/5 Stars
