Besser als der 3 jährige. Vor allem zum Mixen ganz gut geeignet.
It’s positioned as a sipping rum but for my tastes more of a mixing rum and a good one at that. Nose is fairly subtle with Spanish style rum notes. Sipped it is light with some toffee and light spice but no real intensity. Enough bite to make me think it isn’t a sipper but fairly pleasant light finish. It’s a rum I will always have in my liquor cabinet but for cocktails and mixing.

Tasted this one at a blind taste with Ian Burrell and had difficulties to distinguish it from Abuelo 12, but got it right in the end. I think that it only should be used as a mixer.
