"Very exciting - blind I would have probably walked here between tropically stored Foursquare, Appleton or New Yarmouth 1994. Heavy sweetness, coconut and vanilla - plus quite some fire from the alcohol content, although the over 69% comes along comparatively mild. Fascinating, what came in the 90s already in the glass - a huge thanks goes to Hendrik for the sample! Great to be able to taste rums like this."
"08.11.2007 Had a 2 week trip around Vietnam to enjoy the local culture and food. We were staying very local so everything was extremely cheap. In order to get a proper rum we went to the Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi hotel and bought a good size sample. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: Fresh, fruity, pineapple, light ester, alcoholic, wood. Palate: Warm, sweet, fruity, banana, light ester, wood, light smoke. Finish: Very long and warm, fruity, wood, faint chocolate. Extra not. Needs to rest for a good while before tasting. 4.5 stars out of 5 which should amount to 9.0 today."
"similar to crv 20, slightly rounder and even more balanced"
