"This rum has nothing to do with the Captain Morgan that I got as a sample from TheDunderhut. I also got another bottle of the Captain, when it was still distilled in Jamaica, here in the forum for a split. The taste is worlds apart, although the original bottling is unfortunately not a unicorn either."

"Surprisingly good in my opinion. Must rate it better than the rest of the community. Tastes very spicy and slightly woody, but it goes down my throat well. Can also be drunk neat and not just with cola ;-)"

The oak is more mellow, spreading out into nuts and cocoa. 5,5:The palate is soft on entry, revealing a sweet, juicy fruitiness that had been on the back burner until now. Molasses and wood then mingle in a smoother ambience, leading on to coffee and toasted nuts. All these notes remain light and well-balanced, until the toastiness takes over and swarms the taste buds. 5:On the finish, the same dark, roasted notes persist, with black coffee and roasted nuts..."
