"10.02.2018 Having a great tasting at work with nice colleagues. Notes Light in colour. Nose Wood, roasted, citrus, plum, vegetal, light honey. Palate Oily, wood, roasted, citrus, spicy, grass, medicinal, anise. Finish Long and warm, wood, grass, anise, light raisin. Extra note Needs to rest for a good while before giving it a go."
"In the nose right away spicy dry, when bumpy smell almost cocoa powder. Leather and woody. But also a hint of dried fruit. Also for this of honey comes through now. Something fresh like green apple comes through. On the palate yet rather sweet-bitter, woody-spicy, dark chocolate. Roasty. A peppery nutmeg spiciness that transitions into fermented tea leaves. In the finish it remains slightly bitter-spicy, gets a touch of anise.Makes mood 😊"
"A new boring tasting session with young pot still single cask Guyanese rums. Kill Devil 12y, 61,1% Barikenn 8y, 63,3% The Nectar 10y, 62,5% SBS 10y, 64,6% C: W wine N: 5min in and the nose is very shy. I get pears and sea water. After a while it is still shy and the fiercest nose of the bunch. It almost feels rebellious. You must like onion, garlic, green pepper and seafood to appreciate this kind of distillate. Give it time and it will calm down. It develops into a rather harmonic blend of celery, pears, granny apples and oyster juice. Strange enough, also sweet. M: Virile unlike the shy nose. Granny apple peel juice, smoked rubber, and both floral and coastal. I like it! F: Long for young rum. B: Yes. Why boring? Every rum brings something slightly different, but I like them all."
"The rum smells very fruity, alcoholic. The first taste is reminiscent of a whiskey, then some sweetness appears. The alcohol content is quite good to taste, but still not unpleasant. A class rum."
