This rum has a extremely fruity nose to the point of smelling almost artificial like cotton candy with some banana and tropical fruits. The palate is green and earthy with fruit and vegetal notes that are carried through the medium finish with some banana as well.
The nose is very fruity, with strawberry mostly, then black cherry, melon, pineapple, peach and coconut, it also has a slight hint of solvent, tobacco, spice and burnt sugar, it seems like a grand arome. The palate keeps the fruit getting warm and mixed with honeyed and caramel notes, it also has a side with tobacco, wood and spice notes in the background. Unfortunately it is very light and delicate, it sins on the finish that remains aromatic but with little depth. It remains a unique and different product, though. Empty spices and wood in the glass.
A different cane juice rum that is a pleasant burnt Carmel with a smokiness to it. Not much finish but enjoyable as a sipper.
Very fruity nose but the taste was surprisingly different. It surprised me with a smoky and woody flavor and a similar aftertaste. I also got a strong butterscotch and nutmeg sort of flavor. I got less fruit in the taste than other commenters mentioned. For me, 5 is an average.
