"Could easily be mistaken for a Hampden. Very dry, but good to drink. So not my thing, but good as a sample. But a must for Hampden freaks."
"A while back we had a nice Silver Seal tasting and a great evening ended with me being a bit tipsy from a few reruns 😊 This is a really nice release. Dry and fruity with a light woody note and spices. Warm and oily on the palate and it draws really nice curtains in the glass."
"Nose: initially quite alcoholic, once this has faded it comes across as very dry and tartly fruity. Green apple, red currant and somewhat sweeter lime, like kumquat. It becomes increasingly sweet in the direction of sugar syrup and takes on a slightly metallic note with a hint of aniseed. Palate: spicy, dry and metallic. Contrary to what the nose suggests, not as fruity-sweet. Tart green apple, lime and reminiscent of dry white wine or even sake. The spiciness is a mixture of caraway and aniseed. Becomes a little more bitter towards the end and still slightly aniseed. Overall a little disappointing, as it lacks depth and is a little too "Spanish" for me."
