Keine Frage, auch ein Jamaikaner und auch immernoch Frucht zu erkennen, aber um einiges weniger als bei den zwei Vergleichskandidaten Pellegrini und Duncan Taylor. Dafür nimmt meine Nase die Kräuter, die bei den anderen Rums im Hintergrund waren, hier viel präsenter war. Klebstoff, Leder und Eiche sind hier zudem auch zu finden. Am Gaumen ist der Ester auch nicht so präsent. Kräuter, Medizin und Anis dominieren hier im Wechsel mit süßen und sauren Früchten im Hintergrund. Dieser Rum hat etwas mehr Tiefgang und die 62% Alkohol sind sehr gut eingeunden – gefällt mir somit ein Stück besser als die anderen. Ein langer Abgang mit noch etwas scharfen, ungestümten Anis – was wahrscheinlich auf das junge Alter zurückzuführen ist – runden, oder vielmehr „kanten“ diesen guten Rum ab. 82 Punkte
