Great rum, like all Chaimans. One of the best distilleries. This one has a lovely vanilla and caramel note, very delicious. You can't really go wrong with Chairmans.
This rum did a nice job of blending pot and column as well as some cane juice to have a solid final product. Nice complexity in this lighter rum bottled at 46%. Loses slight marks for using a small amount of dosing but hard to deny this was a pleasant drink.
This bottling has an ultra-complex bouquet of honey, ripe fruits, vanilla, caramel and oak and in the mouth a nice big fullness with fruity notes and nuts and perfectly balanced wood influence. The finish is perfectly balanced and it is, if anything, a challenging rum, but in a really cool way.
