How does this rum taste?
Damoiseau XO 7 Years greets you with classic woody and vanilla notes, accented by a touch of caramel and a grassy undertone that hints at meadow and fresh cane. On the nose, a "lovely oak taste" (@Kieron Wood) mingles with hints of dried fruit. While the palate leans dry and agricole, some found the alcohol a bit forward, though others like @MarcT call it "quite enjoyable." RumX members often mention a restrained fruitiness and gentle floral edges, and several note the rum is best after some time in the glass.

The first impression here is rather average. There is a lot of wood on the nose and palate, and you can also detect some vanilla and caramel. A very roasty rum, solid but nothing special.
#4209 This is a very mild release and I'd have loved a higher ABV. Fruity and fresh with a lightly dry palate. There is a nice floral touch to the profile. The empty glass has some mint and light smoke. Price to quality is pretty good.
Relaxed, balanced agricole. The typical green tones are quite gentle. Highly recommended for beginners who want to try Agricole
1. Impression: hay and grassy notes, then some wood and a bit later fruit. The fruit and other aromas are quite shy, while the alcohol arrives a bit strong. 2. Tasting: same as before, a bit more Caramel to the nose and the palate. All in all quite enjoyable.
