The "Heavy Trinidad Rum HTR" was produced in Trinidad at the Caroni distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Velier. It was distilled in 1982 from Molasses and then aged for 23 years. The rum is bottled at cask strength and has an ABV of 77,3% and the mark is HTR. This is a limited release and there are only 396 bottles.

“Epic Velier Caroni Tasting 2023: The rum should breathe long, but then there are fantastic flavors and almost perfectly integrated alcohol. Blind, the over 70% alcohol strength is definitely not noticeable. Classic Caroni notes with rubber and tar, plus heavy wood sweetness and dried fruit, vanilla and pastry, bitter-tart hints of leather and dark chocolate...and even that is far from everything. Every drop is a pure pleasure, this is simply excellent!”

“This is an old tasting from the time I lived in China. The tasting was a surprise so only a few notes were made on a paper napkin 😊 Very nice color with nice typical Caroni flavours. Long resting was needed to make it settle down. Good ABV integration.”
