Asta Morris Rasta Morris 2004
Highly praised cask‑strength Nicaraguan with a Foursquare‑like nose, sweet coconut and nutty caramel, lots of oak and a long finish—especially rewarding with a few drops of water.
Fans of dry, cask‑strength “Spanish style” rums who enjoy coconut, nutty caramel and firm oak, and don’t mind taming the 64.4% with a splash of water.

How does this rum taste?
Dry Spanish-style coconut powerhouse
If you enjoy Foursquare, Travellers or dry Spanish rums but want more power, this delivers similar coconut‑oak sweetness at full proof, provided you’re comfortable managing the high ABV.
Beginners, those sensitive to strong alcohol or heavy oak, and anyone looking for an easygoing, low‑proof sweet sipper.
A good rum, with the power of brut de fut. More complex and gourmand than the list of aromas suggests.

Agréable rhum, avec des notes originales et sympathiques. Plus proche d'un chairmans ou un tdl que des rons ça c'est sûr
A good rum, with the power of brut de fut. More complex and gourmand than the list of aromas suggests.
Update: Nut nougat instead of caramel candy factory. Very nutty. Otherwise, blind, I probably would have mistaken it for a Foursquare: Coconut, raisins, very ripe stone fruit, some wood. Very soft and sweet, but quite intense for a Spaniard. In the mouth it is just as intense thanks to cask strength but not as complex. I find coconut again, dried fruit, some caramelized popcorn. The rum is not sweetened and without a sweetening finish, but still the sweet impression remains very present. The 64.4% is well integratedIn the soft finish, coconut and caramel linger very long. In the mouth and finish almost without bitterness, but unfortunately also without deep spice.Nice Spaniard that does not get boring thanks to cask strength. Special recommendation for fans of Travelers and Foursquare.
