West Indies & foursquare blend. Round and mild. Could have a little more % but is a solid entry for Barbados. I would rather get a plantation Barbados 5y or mount gay xo here but okay.
Caramel and vanilla on the nose. Some sting of alcohol if it sits in the glas for a while but also dried fruits. A bit dry on the palate but a nice round caramel sweetness with the tropical fruits and a subtle orange peel in the background. Vanilla and wood from the barrels top it off nicely.
Leichter Einstieg mit schwachen Aromen. Ester und Vanille kommen in der Nase, im Mund eine schwache würzige Note. Gut in Mischgetränken.
On The Rocks: On the nose slight hints of spice, floral and oak. Taste reveal slightly more spice but it evolves into a slight bitterness. Finish is medium length remaining slightly bitter. Not overly enjoyable as a sipper. At the same price point the Plantation Barbados 5-Year is much nicer. Mixed Pepsi Zero: On the nose very slight hints of spice. Taste has slightly more spice with slight oak. More enjoyable mixed but overall it is a fairly shallow rum.
