7,5:On the nose, the rum is round but rather concentrated, with vanilla coating a raw, toasty woodiness. The caramelized nougat is not too sweet, allowing the wood to stay afloat, soft and white, gently perfumed like tobacco. Toasty, roasted notes arrive in full stride, but are tempered by a certain sweetness, resulting in a gourmet toasted coconut with vanilla. 7,4:The palate is tasty and balanced, round but not really sweet. The traditional aromas of American oak develop one by one: wood, coconut, vanilla, tobacco, sweet spices. The oak is fairly toasted, for just the right amount of bite, without sacrificing deliciousness. 7,4:The finish offers the same flavors, with the rum gently fading away.
