Great rum, among the best I have tasted. Hints of roastiness, peanuts, solvents/nail polish, barrel/woods, licorice, pastry and light vanilla. I find it well balanced and would never stop drinking it. A deep rum. The finish is endless.

TECA DNA beautiful sweetness tropical fruit. Clearly more "pleasing" than its older brother. Quasi a blend of TECA 2003 and Foursquare... 🤓Very successful!

THIS RUM, WHAT A RUM! It is simply a cascade of aromas very armonic and intoxicating. It is extremely fruity (exotic), empyreumatic (rubber / tar / burnt / grilled), greedy, slightly spicy, powerful, pastry, funky, fat, fresh, animal, finely wooded ... All this with a very well integrated alcohol. In short, we manage to fill almost all the aromatic palette with this juice, it's quite crazy! It is a very particular rum which will not necessarily please everyone because of its aromatic power. For me it is almost perfection, I am a fan!

das ist Mal ne Wucht an estern... mir persönlich schon fast too much. überreife Banane, Klebstoff und verbranntes Gummi mit modrigen Kompost Noten, sowie Speck und Sahnetoffee sind am dominantesten.. zum Glück nicht so arg modrig und Kompost mäßig wie der 2003 Teca. ganz zum Schluss kommt eine interessante Note aus Bergamot, Kokosnuss und dunkler Schokolade mit etwas Salz und Bitterkeit, die das ganze wiederum sehr spannend und damit auch sehr gut macht!

I let it rest for one hour in a close glass. Than i opened the glass OMG this is the heaven for a sniffer: glue, rubber, varnish, nail polish, solvents, ester, ester and more ester (is has ca. 1300gr/hlpa). Then after some times you‘ll get the fruits, oak… The alcohol 63% are integrated very very well. I really enjoy this sample 😍 Nose: Ester, Solvents, nail polish, glue, rubber, varnish, trop. fruits, mango, overripe, woody, oak, vanilla, peppery, roasted Mouth: dry, full bodied, strong, delicious, funky, complex, intense, ester, bitter, glue, trop fruits, banana, overripe fruits, pineapple, a bit sweet, caramelized, wood(oak), leather, vanilla, roasted, almond Finish: long, dry, ester, warm, overripe fruits, woody(oak), vanilla, toasted, leather

Prior to this bottle I had occasion to taste the TECC same vintage, which I found to be round and satisfying. Here a few more edges in the mouth in my opinion, so a few points less.

An dem scheiden sich ja die Geister, aber ich bin begeistert von den Extremen. Nase: sehr raumgreifend und intensiv! Volle Ester, Lösungsmittel und Klebstoff, aber eher süßlich-dick, wie Pattex. Daneben sehr angenehme Zitrusfrüchte, allen voran Mandarine aber auch Orange und Zitrone sowie tropische Früchte, Ananas und Banane. Dahinter karamellige Süße von dunklem Ahornsirup und Vanille. Hinten raus eine leichte Essig-Note und fast etwas Umami. Gaumen: wow, ordentlich adstringent und Ester-lastig. Politur. Dann auch gleich salzig-süß mit dem Übergang zu tropischen Früchten wie Banane und Ananas. Süße von Marzipan-Masse und hinten raus wieder etwas Umami. Die Ester hat man noch am nächsten Tag im Mund Super fordernd und extrem. Der TECC gefällt mir noch besser, aber TECA ist schon genial

Meine Frau hat den Nagellack auf den Eichendielen verschüttet und danach ihre Lederjacke zum aufwischen benutzt. Ester Fruchtbombe die mit einer Rauchigkeit und Holzigkeit daher kommt die extrem gut harmoniert.

Nachdem ich beim Teca 2003 eher schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht habe, ist heute der Bruder aus dem Jahr 2007 dran. An der Nase fallen sofort die intensiven Esternoten auf: überreife tropische Früchte, Süße, Lack und Lösungsmittel. Kombiniert mit Gewürzen wie Pfeffer und Kardamom. Am Gaumen auch sehr esterlastig. Vergorene Früchte, Banane und Ananas. Ebenfalls Butternoten, Johgurt und leicht saure Milch. Langer Abgang. Gefällt mir doch deutlich besser als der 2003er Teca. Ist aber auch kein Rum für jeden Tag. Man muss sich ihm mit Respekt nähern.

nice LP, one of my favorite "Continental Flavoured". the most balanced and expressive one. heavy tropical furits, solvents, proper rubber, mild wood with cocoa/nuts and cozy caramel toffe. the sweet(toffee, caramel, sugar) is really appropriate. adding little water or oxidization can show more layers and sour cherry, sour fruits. (personal rating: teca 07: 91, tecc 07&stce 05: 89, teca 05: 86)

Un Long Pond à la puissance aromatique remarquable. Le nez est funky à souhait avec de puissantes notes d’esters, de colle, de vernis et de solvants, de très belles notes pâtissières, avec des fruits tropicaux mûrs à foison. Les notes boisées, vanillées et épicées suivent, puis des notes étonnantes de caoutchouc, de crème anglaise, de tabac et de raisins se font sentir. La bouche est tout aussi explosive avec la même trame jamaïcaine, à laquelle s’ajoute du caramel, une pointe fumée et du cuir, pour un ensemble concentré, puissant, intense mais très équilibré. La finale, très longue et sèche, est portée par les arômes toastés, chocolatés et boisés, les fruits exotiques, des notes de fraîcheur, de thé et de tabac. Une expérience aromatique exceptionnelle.

Nez de malade. Des fruits trop mûrs, des esters, de la colle, de la banane, des esters encore, du bois. C'est funky à souhait. En bouche, les 63° sont là. C'est d'abord fort et piquant. Puis les fruits prennent la place, avec encore de la colle. Des notes plus lourdes font leur apparition en fin de bouche : bois et cuir notamment. Je m'attendais à une finale interminable. Elle est finalement moins marquée que le TECC par exemple. Manque un tout petit peu de gourmandise. Mais que c'est bon !

Der gediegene Bruder des TECA 2003. 2007 war der tote Hund in der Dunder Pit endgültig aufgelöst. Nagellack, Holzig, Mango etc. Sehr komplex. Zu Beginn assoziere ich eher Hampden, nach längerer Beatmung animalisch wie ein tropisch gereifter Caroni. Kein Schöngeist, aber sehr interessant und unique. (Es sei dazugeschrieben, dass ich diese 🇯🇲 Stinker gar nicht sexy finde.)

Finally, I can compare the two TECA from NJR..starting from the younger. The nose is wonderful..there’s so much going on: mineral rocks, vanilla, funky fermented fruits (pineapple, banana, jackfruit) along with the typical LP flavors of buttery meat. The palate is leagues more manageable and pleasant compared with the TECC, with an added acidity, possibily citrus..then only downside I can find is that the finish seems to be a little bit shorter than it brothers. This is the most approachable of the TECA/TECC series, hands down!

Probiert als 5cl Sample. Mein erster TECA und im Crosstasting mit einem HD DOK (RX11058). Wow hier passiert an der Nase echt viel. Irre viel Frucht, Gummi, Klebstoff, Lösungsmittel. Kurze Zeit danach gesellt sich eine schöne Marzipan-Note dazu. Die Nase gefällt mir deutlich besser als die des DOK. Und auch am Gaumen lässt der LP nichts zu wünschen übrig. Wahnsinn wie viele Aromen er vereint, ohne anstrengend zu werden. Deutlich komplexer als der verglichene DOK macht mir dieser Rum einfach richtig Spaß. Wenn auch ca.5% schwächer ist der Alkohol richtig gut eingebunden. Sicher auch kein Alltagsrum, aber jeder der davon ne Flasche hat kann sich glücklich schätzen.

Un nez très expressif, une bouche dans un premier temps astringente et acide avant de laisser place à des notes douces et gourmandes. La finale est chaude et épicée. L'ensemble est pas mal mais on trouve mieux chez Long Pond à mon sens (le 2007 tecc et le 2005 teca par exemple)

Premier jamaïcain avec autant d'ester dégusté (1200) Nez : tres changeant au fil des minutes, d'abord solvant très prédominant évidemment, puis fruits très murs, puis gourmand, puis le boisé s'exprime, avec un toasté grillé sur la fin Bouche : assez similaire au nez dans la séquence, plus épicée, watts bien intégrés, finale boisée et légèrement épicée Belle longueur
