Reviews are generally positive, noting its complex flavor profile of tropical fruits, spices, wood, caramel, tobacco and cognac. It has a pleasant nose with light adhesive and fruity aromas. On the palate it is soft, warm and mild with dried dates and gentle wood as well as pleasant pimento spice. The finish is relatively short with light barrel and date aromas.

Probiert als 5cl Sample. Abgefahren tolle Nase, Fruchtgummi, Lebkuchen, Banane, Tropische Früchte, Vanille, Holz, leicht rostig und nen Geruch, den ich kenne aber trotz Kopfzerbrechen nicht zuordnen kann. Der riecht so gut, da könnt man einfach ne Stunde mit dasitzen und einfach nur dran riechen. Geschmacklich dann ganz anders als die Nase es vermuten ließ, eher auf der würzigen Seite und verglichen mit Savannas die ich bisher probiert habe recht dezente Frucht. Trotzdem klar erkennbar und schön harmonisch. Schöne natürliche süße, Lakritz, Holz, Tabak, Bitterschokolade. Alkohol ist prima eingebunden. Geschmacklich nicht ganz so herausragend wie der Geruch, dennoch nicht zu unterschätzen. Der gefällt mir richtig gut. Savanna hats einfach drauf.

Eine angehme verhaltene Nase mit leichten Klebstoff- und Fruchtaromen! Am Gaumen verteilt sich der Rum weich warm und mild! Der Alkohol ist perfekt eingebunden, getrocknete Datteln und sanftes Holz, sowie angenehme Pimentwürze breiten sich aus. Der Abgang ist relativ kurz mit leichtem Fass- und Dattelaromen, ein gelungener Rum

Ungewöhnliches Profil für Savanna. Wenige der bekannten Marker, dafür leichte Tendenz zu lange gelagertem spanischen Rum (ohne Zucker). Nicht schlecht aber nicht was ich von Savanna erwarte.

Nase: frisch, Zitrusfrucht dazu eine herb-süße Karamell-Note. Kirsche, Traube und grüner Apfel. Trockenes Holz und Vanille. Eine angenehm komplexer und schöner Duft. Gaumen: würzig, holzig, leicht salzig. Zitronenschale und eine leichte Karamell-Note mit Vanille. Es kommt auch das Cognac-Fass durch. ABV steht ihn gut… Ausreichend komplex aber nicht kompliziert. Gefällt.

Als Sample mit vielem anderen mitbestellt ohne viel drüber zu wissen. Schmeckt nach Rhum traditionel mit Cognac Lagerung. Also kein Savanna mit langer Fermentation. Erinnert mich etwas an den Isautier 15 von Velier. Guter Melasse Rum ohne die typischen Merkmale der funkigen Savannas.

interessanter Savanna. viel Traube, Rose, Banane, Kakao, Papaya, viel Holz, viel Tannine und sehr adstringierend und säuerlich. sehr trocken aber mir persönlich insgesamt zu viel Säure und Bitterkeit durch Holz und Tannine.

Farbe: Orangebraun Geruch: Fruchtig aromatisch nach tropischen Früchten, Gewürzen und Hölzern. Reife Ananas, Papaya, Aprikosenmarmelade, Vanille, weisse Mousse, Sandelholz und Cognac. Geschmack: Süß, cremig-würzig im Mund. Beim Schlucken würzig und fruchtig-holzig mit Ananas, Karamell, Tabak und Cognac. Abgang: Lang Würzig, scharf und holzig. Trocken. 88 Punkte

Was für ein toller Rum. Schön würzig, holzig. Der Alkohol wurde super eingebunden. Leider hat der Rum auch seinen Preis.
