"This is vanilla fun! It is sealed with wax and opening the bottle is quite fun. A beautiful black nylon strip is used to break the seal that is quite thick. Nose is obviously vanilla but very skinny while taste is very rich in vanilla. I believe it is Bourbon vanilla, but I'm not that familiar with vanilla differences. I also get some honey and nectar. This will be awesome in deserts and the right drink were it will add a distinct hint of vanilla taste. I foresee people making big eyes over a mojito or Cuba Libre with this rum. Well crafted fun in a bottle."
"No surprise here that this is a vanilla heavy sweet rum. Initially I wasn't very sure about this one as the vanilla is initial a bit overwhelming. You can smell and taste the real vanilla bean in here no artificial stuff there (but you never know) and has a nice spicy kick at the end. Nice to see for a change that a spiced rum has been at least bottled at 40% abv so it can take a little water which actually calms the vanilla down a little bit and opens up the other citrus and spicy flavours. Can see this working really well in cocktails although I expect you will have to do some experimenting to get the vanilla balance right. Very nice with coconut water"
