Don Q Double Cask Vermouth Finish
Most enjoy the fruity, winey vermouth twist and fair price, but many feel the rum base is too subdued and a bit boring neat. Consensus: niche, cocktail-friendly experiment.
Vermouth and Manhattan lovers, or rum drinkers who enjoy wine-cask finishes and want an easy 40% option that leans strongly toward cherry, grape and herbal wine notes, especially in mixed drinks.

How does this rum taste?
Vermouth-first, rum-second sipper
If you already like vermouth or whiskey Manhattans, this is worth a try—the vermouth takes the lead, so think of it as a rum with a strong wine-cask twist rather than a classic sipper.
Those wanting a rum-forward sipper, high-intensity flavor, or complex, cask-strength experiences. Also not ideal if you dislike vermouth or winey, herbal notes in rum.

nice rum not sweet I like it especially for the money little burn will try more don Q
I find pure a bit boring. since I like the sherry finish much better. Must try him times with tonic that could fit really well.
the vermouth cask finish influence is mega exciting.... pure something special and unusual but makes a damn cool rum Manhattan with the matching mancino rosso vermouth 🙏🏻
Interesting experience, but in my opinion they should mature far much less time in those vermouth casks. Vermouth very dominates and character of original Don Q style fades…
