The XPD was produced in Guyana at the Enmore distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Cadenhead‘s. It was distilled in 1971 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 32 years. The rum has an ABV of 61,8%.

This is a very good Cadenhead, probably one of the best ones they ever made. I can only recommend it if you can get a bottle, which would mean auction. The nose is wonderful kicking off with glue and some varnish before settling into fruits, nuts and coffee. A bit of wood in there as well. The palate picks up where the nose left off. Intense and complex and a bit oily. Nice curtains in the glass. Fruity with cocoa and coffee. In the back i get licorice, caramel, tea and wood. The finish is forever and fruity with spices the back has wood and burnt sugar.
