This release was bottled between 2002 and 2005 and it's virtually impossible to get your hands on one today. A very nice edition from Zacapa that also explodes in your mouth. They have released XO versions since this one but they're not an exact match though pretty close.
Definitely old Zacapa quality. Really impressive how intense and aromatic the "only" 40% comes across. Toasty, lots of raisin and pleasant sherry notes.
Very tasty vintage zacapa that knows how to convince despite only 40%. Banana, salted caramel, dark chocolate, raisin and sherry. Aromatically very round with a medium-long finish. Certainly a great match for the cigar. For a change, a prime example of diluted blended rum that can do something!
