How does this rum taste?
Praised for its explosive Grand Arôme character, this 2004 Savanna, aged 14 years, delivers serious complexity with the 65.1% ABV remarkably well integrated. Reviewers note glue and nail-polish aromas over sour cherry and strawberry, leading to overripe tropical fruit, woody spice and dense esters with a long finish. What a grenade!!!⛈️⚡🤤⚡💥🤯🇷🇪 incredibly complex. After 1h breathing time cinnamon cookies, apple turnover, strawberry chewing gum and honey banana in the nose. Incredibly mild for 65%, awesome sour cherry, pineapple, strawberry and mint, chamomile olive notes and very complex and dangerously drinkable. Musty, fermented and sticky without end. This thing is definitely the full broadside of Savanna Grande arome as it is written in the book! But I think the Lava and Madras are even better!
On the nose, in addition to the brute Grand Arôme punch, memories of cinnamon-y apple turnover come to mind. Also, lots of overripe tropical fruit (and strawberries) and glue come in. Exciting! Intense and creamy on the palate. In addition to the overripe fruit, there is also a pleasant honeyed sweetness. Despite the 66.1%, the alcohol is very well integrated. Absolute Savanna top class!
Super Savanna Auch hier einen Grand Arome mit mega Komplexität zum verlieben. Richtig toll mit Frucht, Holz und Gewürz. Schön ausbalanciert mit gut integriertem Alkohol. Für mich GA > HERR, ich weiss, sehen viele anders.
