How does this rum taste?
- Bold flavor profile
- Vegetal aroma
- Lingering finish
Vulcao from the Santo Antao distillery in Cape Verde is an intriguing rum distilled from sugar cane juice using a Pot Still, with an ABV of 45%. Noted for its vegetal aroma alongside hints of nail polish, lemon, and solvents, this rum offers a unique taste experience. The flavor profile prominently features solvent and vegetal notes, accompanied by citrus and peppery undertones with some synthetic impressions. While some users appreciate its bold palate and lingering finish, others find the solvent and synthetic elements detract from the overall enjoyment. This rum invites comparisons to similarly raw styles like Clairin, highlighting its fresh cane essence and hints of smokiness. Ideal for those seeking an adventurous tasting session.

"Not bad, just nothing exciting to be found here"
