How does this rum taste?
Reviewers are drawn to the HSE Grande Reserve XO for its classic Martinique agricole profile that balances woody depth with pronounced vanilla and dried fruit notes. Many highlight aromas of sugar cane, barrel, and toasty spices, with some noting a touch of coffee and leather. It's widely enjoyed neat as a sipping rum or alongside a cigar, thanks to its smoothness and complexity. With consistently strong ratings and a reputation for great value, it's a go-to for fans of well-aged agricoles.

This is a super delicious Agricole from the start to the finish! The Alcohol and wood is integrated very well. This is a good rum to pair with a cigar! I use this always as a agricole starter in a tasting for beginners and advanced drinkers.
18.11.2023 Yet another retasting and I still like the profile. --------------------- Retasting at the German Rum Fest and I still like it. ----- We had a go at several HSE today and I'm a bit tipsy from it.
Another very fine rum, but unfortunately only good. Edit: After another tasting, the rating remains the same. Solid, delivers what it is made for. But unfortunately nothing more. I definitely wouldn't need a bottle.
Very nice Agricole. Harmonious and tasty. I like!
