It was distilled in 1989 from Molasses with a Double Wooden Pot Still and then aged for 23 years. The rum has an ABV of 45%. 12 community members rated this rum with an average of 8.1/10. Great Demerara rum! Despite the reduction to 45% nice and creamy and intense. I like it really well!
Another older tasting with good friends in a bar that is no more. A well balanced demerara that is kind of light because of the ABV. Wrote in my notes that I would have preferred a higher ABV actually. Oily and light on the palate with light fruit and nice roasted wood notes. Very slow moving curtains and the empty glass is absolutely wonderful.
Classic Demerara fired on the Port Mourant column. Classic 45%. PM is not very pronounced though. Tastes to me a little better than the 1990 (which is a Versailles).
