The "2000" was produced in Barbados at the West Indies distillery. It was selected and bottled by the independent bottler Whiskybroker. It was distilled in 2000 from Molasses with a Pot Still and then aged for 16 years. The rum has an ABV of 57,6%. A 2000 WIRD to my liking. Feels a bit more harsh than some other bottlings, however delivers a nice intensity without the faint watered down sensation I experienced with some other bottlers.
Also a very good 2000 Rockley! Compared to the ra a little more intense, but taste-wise I feel the ra a little rounder and more pleasant.
Brilliant profile. After a long break from Rockley, I've had another one in the glass and I like it so much. Addictive... simply to enjoy... without words... maybe "Barbados Rum at it's finest" The alcohol is well integrated and is needed to keep the honey nice and warm. Unfortunately awesome.
