Bouteille sympa pour un rhum moyen. Basé sur les tanins, le cuir, ce qui est assez agréable au nez mais plus pauvre en bouche, avec cependant un côté floral marqué assez inhabituel et intéressant. Très peu de longueur. Un rhum un peu fermé il faut lui laisser du temps, sympa et original mais sans plus. Édit 2025 en aveugle : Nez fabuleux très pâtissier. Bouche ultra décevante, aqueuse, transparente sans aucune consistance ni complexité. Longueur, quasi inexistante. Pour ravir les néophytes car ils pourront s'enivrer de son odeur tout en l'avalant ultra facilement. Je ne change pas ma note de 6.8, rattrapée par le nez.
For me, it smells and tastes more like a rhum agricole that has been aged for ages: woody, herbal, dry, not very complex and more like a very dry, somewhat oxidized sherry. I love rhum agricole and am a big Saint James fan, but this bottle didn't convince me.
