The PM is a limited release rum from Guyana, distilled in 1993 and aged for 13 years. It has an ABV of 65% and a complex flavor profile with aromas of cloves, anise, herbs, olives, black tea and dried fruits. On the palate it has notes of licorice, pepper and candied fruits with a hint of toasted oak. It is intense and well balanced with the ABV. There are also vegetal and floral notes as well as hints of fudge. The finish is long and refreshing.

Continuing my attack on my present 😍 This is a really nice release. The fruit is very subtle and almost not detectable. I didn't get it until 30 minutes of resting. Intense and the flavors are really well balanced with the ABV. Would have loved a few bottles on my shelves 😊

Bringt ein sehr ähnliches Grundprofil wie die beiden El Dorados aus 97 und 99, wirkt aber deutlich ausgewogener - weit weniger Säure am Gaumen, dafür etwas mehr Holz und schwere Süsse. Im direkten Vergleich für mich klar vorne.

Pure Lakritze und Holz. Alkohol könnte besser integriert sein, dennoch für Leute die auf Port mourant stehen wohl einer der besseren. Mir persönlich ist er deutlich zu bitter und ich mag einfach keine Lakritze🙈😂 sorry

Un rhum brut de décoffrage. Le nez est pourtant très avenant, avec les notes sucrées et épicées des rhums Dememara, des arômes fruités et boisés, du thé et des solvants. En bouche, le contraste se fait ressentir : on a ici un rhum puissant et amer, tourné vers le bois, les épices (réglisse, gingembre, piment et poivre), des saveurs rôties et toastées, du café, des fruits secs et du thé. On ressent les 65%. Une longue finale poursuit la trame sèche, épicée et boisée de la bouche, mais ajoute du tabac, un soupçon de fraîcheur mentholée appréciable et quelques fruits secs et rouges. Un rhum intense, difficile à dompter et à ne pas mettre entre toutes les mains.

Schöne Nase, die nach einiger Standzeit viele Fruchtaromen frei gibt. Pflaume, Rosine, Trockenfrüchte. Schwarztee und viel Eichenholz/Röstaromen. Am Gaumen sind die Holznoten leider sehr dominant. Daneben auch Gewürze, Leder und Kaffee. Im Abgang ordentlich Tannine und Leder.

An der Nase Gewürznelke, Anis, Kräuter, Olive, Schwarztee, getrocknete Früchte und eine dezente Süße. Am Gaumen Lakritze, Piment, kandierte Früchte, getoastetes Fass und ein leicht pfeffriger Einschlag. Der Velier erinnert mich an den Rum Cask PM 1997, wobei der Velier schon noch etwas an Komplexität, vor allem aber an Intensität drauf legen kann.
