How does this rum taste?
- Classic Hampden ester profile
- Rich tropical fruit aroma
- Smooth, easy to sip
Jamaica Rum Single Cask LROK is a limited-edition spirit distilled in 2000 at the Hampden distillery and aged for 17 years. Bottled by Kingsbury at 46% ABV, this rum delivers a quintessential Hampden experience with its prominent tropical fruit and ester notes, alongside a subtle backdrop of overripe and fermented characteristics. Despite its complex aroma, several users find the flavor profile less intense due to its dilution, making it a smooth, everyday sipper. While not the most potent high ester creation, it retains the trademark Hampden DNA, promising a satisfying, albeit mild, tasting experience.

"Nice rum, outside the usual range of the well-known bottlers. The LROK Mark is not necessarily one of my favorites. Nevertheless, it's a solid rum in the easy sipper category. The only criticism is that it seems a little too thin to me."
"You can't really go far wrong with Hampden. This one is good, but not very good, Hampden has far better ones. The nose consists of esters and tropical fruits. The palate is also ester and very fruity."
"Mmh .... Relatively unspectacular but still delicious . Moisture is in the foreground... Alcohol not perceptible (very thin) but the HD gene is still clearly recognizable. Some bitterness in the finish but all in all ok but nothing special. Surprisingly good in May Tai. 3/5"
"Nice daily sipper. Not spectacular, does exactly what you expect. But there are certainly Hampdens with a better PLV."
