"A Trois Rivières slightly more aromatic than the 1999 vintage. Earthy tobacco notes mingle with the sugarcane, dried fruit and sweet spices on the nose. The palate is suave, bordered by spices and caramel, the latter bringing a great deal of sweetness to the juice. The finish doesn't really bring out any additional aromas, but is relatively long and faithful to the structure on the nose and palate. It's not the most complex of the Trois Rivières, but it's a cut above some of the more "prestigious" cuvées on paper."

"When looking at the price tag you get a lot for your money in my mind. A well balanced rum with nice fruits and spices. The wood is well balanced with the caramel and earthy notes. The empty glass has some sugarcane and apple."
