"This rum is priced at 500+ Euro, but is it worth the money? In my opinion, most definitely. The nose comes at you once you pour it, candied fruits, vanilla and a bit of earthiness. The barrel has also left notes of bourbon and overall a very well balanced nose. The palate is complex and like velvet, yum. Fruits, caramel and chocolate with wood and vanilla trailing. In the end a hint of mocha and tobacco. The finish is long and velvety with wood, fruits, vanilla and a hint of tobacco. A very good rum worth the price tag."
"Very spicy on the nose, with a hint of wood. After aeration, it's quite greedy, with a hint of brown sugar. On the palate, there's a hint of alcohol, with lots of spice and a background of damp wood. The finish is quite long."
"Schöner Montebello, vielversprechend in der Nase, angenehm rund am Gaumen, Holz, Karamell, Nougat, Gewürze, frische Fruchtsüsse. Im Abgang prägnante Bitterkeit, die aber nicht zu intensiv wird. Ansprechendes Release."
